Question about a Continental airlines purchase? I recently bought [well my mom did] a Continental Airlines ticket round trip from Houston IAH - Philadelphia PHL. Assuming as in the past, "adult" when booking is usually like 14-15+, we purchased this ticket under the "Adult" category, although I am only 16. I went back through the booking process to see if there was a children's category for "15-17", and there is. Big problems cancelling Continental Airline refundable ticket through Orbitz? Knowing plans might change, on Orbitz, I purposely searched for refundable fares (by checking "only show refundable fares" under expanded search options). Additional note, I needed to cancel because they jacked up my father and I's boarding pass names because they said they don't put middle names on boarding passes (we both have the same first/last names). I smelt something fishy was going on when they said we have to put Mr. John Smith on one ticket and John Smith on the other. Now when trying to cancel and get my refund back. Their policy is NOT to deposit the entire amount back into a cc account, but I get my money back as a credit for a future flight. The problem with this is is that in order to fly somewhere else you must pay $250 fee per ticket and additional $30 fee per ticket and any additional airline rate fare increases in the future. So for my dad and I to fly from Houston to Corpus Christi, it will cost me $540 + $560 of fees! Info on their site (and probably most airlines) is very vague and dubious. Orbitz shafts its customers and have no personal care for their customers like Southwest Airlines does! The moral of the story is never book so-called refundable fares through a travel agency, especially in these so-called "financial crisis" times.

Is September a good time to buy airline tickets to London for a December trip? I am planning a trip to London for this December and a friend told me that booking with Continental Airlines in September is a good time because prices go down and can go down as much as 500 dollars. After checking some other sources, some say booking now would be a good time. Right now it's about $707 on Continental Airlines, but on British Airways, it's about $536. continental airlines charged us a 100 dollar per ticket cancellation fee for cancelling our flight home from? vacation. i flew home jetblue instead because my boss bought me tickets home because i had to leave early for a work emergency. the jetblue tickets were cheaper than changing the date on the continental tickets. i know i have a year to use the continental tickets now for something. if i didnt cancel the tickets and simply didnt show up for the flight would i have been charged anything? i am questioning if it made sense to cancel the tickets and get charged 100 per ticket. does it generally make sense to cancel rather than not show up ? in response to the first response, the continental tickets were round trip, so should we still get a partial refund since we flew the first leg of the trip? we flew there but not back.

I'm flying Air Canada from Montreal, QC to New York, NY and then I have to catch a Continental Airlines flight from New York, NY to Houston, TX. If I miss my connection in NYC, will Continental put me on the next flight in departure to Houston (assuming there are seats available)? How does the U.S. Military (a PS) search for commercial flights? I'm a dependent of my husband and he is stationed in Japan now. He flew from Jacksonville International airport to New Jersey, then on to Narita airport in Japan with a Continental airlines ticket. I know they are getting me a commercial ticket too but I don't know how they look up the flights that are available?. Now I can join him but they say the first available flight is Friday, four days from now, and they haven't said what airline it's with. I know the flight may not be with Continental but the flights I look up for this week through Continental have more seats available for Wednesday and Thursday. Anyway, I'll find out more about the ticket tomorrow but I'm worried cause I'm really pregnant and I know for a fact that most airlines will not let me fly now. I know Continental will let me fly as long as I've seen an OB in the past week and I'm not going into labor before I get on the plane. But other airlines are more strict, for example...American Airlines won't let me fly now unless I have a doctor with me. I've tried calling the base to ask a guy there I've talked to before but no one is answering. He is a PS, I can't remember what that stands for but a PS is the one that will get the tickets for us. I have a note from my Doctor, and I'm getting a new one tomorrow cause some flights, like Japan Airlines, and United (I just looked up United cause someone mentioned it) Need to have the note dated within 72 hours of departure. I know I'll find out later tonight or in the morning exactly which flight I have when my husband calls but I'm Due September 7th, so can anyone blame me for worrying and freaking out a little. It's my first baby, and I haven't had any contractions or any other signs of labor being near, so I shouldn't have the baby for another 2-3 weeks, but anything can happen. I really hate waiting the last minute to do everything, I like having things planned ahead of time so I don't worry.

do i have to buy a ticket for my 2 year old child if im riding the Continental Airlines?

I would like to know about a non-refundable air ticket.? If I buy an airline ticket now at a special rate ,(to avoid a rise in prices ) and they say it's non-refundable, will they let me use the ticket if the flight had to be cancelled on the actual date of departure, due to a hurricane threat? I am going with a group and the group does not know this answer. We are flying by Continental Airlines.
