Continental Airlines Arena - getting to from Long Island? I've found directions on the internet coming from the GW Bridge and from the Lincoln Tunnel but I'm going to the arena from the South Shore of Long Island so I would prefer to go through Staten Island and either take the Gothels Bridge or Outerbridge Crossing into NJ. Are the fans in your favorite NBA teams arena Loud? I'm a New Jersey Nets fan (been going to games for over a decade) and the fans at the Izod (and the former Continental Airlines Arena) are very quiet. They rarely chant "defense" or "lets go Nets" or really anything. Even Devils fans in Newark are quiet as well (getting outchanted by Rangers fans and Canadiens fans). When companies pay for naming rights to stadiums, why do broadcasters give them free ads by saying the names? Where I live in New Jersey, Continental Airlines had paid to have the Meadowlands arena named the "Continental Airlines Arena." I understand why Continental Airlines would want to do that, and I know why the Meadowlands arena authority would want to take their money, but why would broadcasters call the stadium "Continental Airlines Arena"? Which NHL arenas have you seen games in? I've been to NHL games at HSBC Arena, GM Place, Continental Airlines Arena, Mellon Arena and the prison with ice known as Buffalo's Memorial Auditorium; a college hockey tournament at the Joe; concerts at the ACC and HSBC Arena; and a Sens practice at Scotiabank Place. I'm going to the TD Banknorth Garden this weekend for the Sens/Bruins game and am hoping to catch a Sens playoff game at Scotiabank Place. Next year, I'm hoping to see games at MSG, the ACC (if I can get tickets before they sell out) and Scotiabank Place. What about y'all?

The Brendan Byrne/Meadowlands/Continental Airlines/new name this year Arena in New Jersey, with its two levels of seats but only one level of concourse, has been abandoned by the Devils in favor of the new Prudential Center in downtown Newark. With that in mind -- and it was never the worst, but that design was hopelessly flawed -- which team now has the worst home building? Don't just answer based on which teams you don't like. I hate the Rangers but like Madison Square Garden, and I hate the Flyers but think the Whatever Bank It Is This Year Center -- still Wachovia? -- is a great arena, although I liked the Spectrum, too.
