Has anybody ever been on a commercial airline flight where no announcement was ever made by the flight crew? Is this even legal? After all, it is the pilot's responsibility to keep the passengers aware of the flight progress as well as any possible emergencies or common problems such as turbulence. I wonder if a complaint could be filed against this particular airline (?) Note that all pilots on international flights are required to speak English, so poor language skills is no excuse, and this represents a potential danger right there.
How to purchase an overseas airline flight ticket? I am interested in working in Japan, but the employment service I work for requires you to pay for your own plane ticket without compensation or reimbursement. Why would they require you to pay for your own ticket without compensation if they speak prospective employees in America? How do I purchase a cheap airline flight?
How do I deal with my alergic reaction to cats when taking an airline flight.? I couldn't breathe on a recent airline flight because of a cat in the cabin to rows behind me. While this is my first experience with an animal in the passenger cabin apparently it is not uncommon. A lot of people have posted they have had the same problem. The airline representation stated the cat had priority over me and wouldn't put the animal in the cargo hold. They won't even tell me ahead of time what flight doesn't have any cats. Any ideas.
What's the probability that a passenger will issue a complaint about service on a domestic airline flight? 16 year old is traveling by himself and airline flight connection was cancelled, hotel? My 16 year old son is traveling on his own and he missed his flight connection due to weather and is trapped at the airport for 14 hours. He just called and is frantic. This is his first flight all alone. The Airline said they can not get out on a new flight until late tommorrow. I would like to check him in into a hotel, where he can wait for the next flight in comfort, but I was told you had to be 18 to check into a hotel. The Airline staff will not help. Do you have any advice?
Would you stow your wallet and car keys under the seat in front of you on an airline flight? Or would you have them in your pocket? In the event the aircraft were ditched, as U.S. Airways flight 1549 was in the Hudson, would you have those essentials on you? Should the airline or the passengers be responsible for insuring especially valuable possessions? AIG appears to be offering the passengers $15,000 each, but there still appears to be a dispute that this is not enough.
Anyone stuck in the middle seat on a long Airline Flight? I got stuck sitting next to a couple huge men on a long international airline flight. They went to sleep as soon as the flight took off and made it impossible for me to get out to the aisle to use the restroom and walk around. I was held hostage for 9 hours in a cramped seat from hell. I thought I would go insane from the claustrophobia. Can you relate?
Will I have to get my baggage from one airline to another connecting airline flight? I am flying United airlines from Chicago Ohare to Frankfurt Germany then connecting on Lufthansa airlines to Nuremberg Germany. I am getting conflicting answers from both airlines. All I want to know does my checked in baggage get loaded on by the airlines to my connecting flight? Or do I have to claim it at the baggage counter in Frankfurt Germany and re check it in on my connecting flight myself?
Complete airline itinerary flight checking web site? I subscribed to an airline flight tracking system. You can put in itineraries weeks in advance, and on the day of travel will check each flight and even can find out what the arrival equipment is supposed to be. Now I have lost the link to it. Does anyone know of such a service? Thanks. For those who have read this, the site is www.fltadvisor.com It allows you to put in itineraries weeks in advance then on the day of travel, tracks them automatically.
How can I prove I was on an airline flight in August 2009? I no longer have any boarding pass or receipt, but I need proof that I was on a Northwest Airlines flight back in August. Calling the customer service hot-line as so far been a waste because of the merger of Northwest with Delta this January. Does anyone know of any flight logs or archives that could help me in my search?
If I switch airlines during a flight, do I have to re-check my bags with the new airline? I'm flying to Buenos Aires, Argentina. My first flight is on American Airlines it goes from New York to Miami. In Miami my next flight is on COPA and it is a direct flight from Miami to EZE in Buenos Aires. When I arrive in Miami, will I have to get my bags from the American Airlines flight and re-check them with COPA? I am buying the two tickets separately because it is cheaper than buying it all at once.
Will I loose my United Airline flight benefits? My father has listed me under his United Airline flight benefits allowing me to travel for a fraction of the price to wherever United Airlines flies as a companion always flying standby. Will Space Flight Be As Common As Airline Flights? This is one the many things that are roving in my head at the moment. I remeber watching the Discovery channel and there was a show on the future of flight and that one day the average person will be taking flights through space like they take a airline flight. I wonder if this will ever be possible and if so what will the aircraft look like.
How to fin Ben from airline flight from Atlanta, Georgia to Amsterdam May25,2011? How can I see the open seats on an airline flight? I booked seats on an international flight and I want to know the status of the the open and un-open seats on my flight. Is their a site that will have updated information of the capacity on my flight and which seats are taken.
Getting off an airline flight before the final destination? We sometimes fly to Cincinnati on Delta. Going nonstop is always expensive for our family. I've noticed that sometimes a flight will stop in Cincinnati (the hub) on it's way to say Dayton where the flight to Dayton (from) San Francisco is much cheaper than the flight to Cincinnati. What would happen if we got off in Cincinnati (our destination) and didn't take the connecting flight?
Will a personal cell phone work during a commercial airline flight? If I weren't prohibited from using my personal cell phone during a commercial flight, would it work? Could I call someone on the ground, maybe back at my departure place or where I'm headed, and they could converse with me? . Thanks Nigel as that's at the root of my question. I have doubts that those cell phone calls could have actually been made from the 9/11 planes. Nothing sure but a suspicion nonetheless. There's a lot on that day to make one suspicious. .

Has anyone been on an airline lately? Does it seem like flight attendants are grumpy and rude? The last few times I have flown on an airline, the flight attendants have been really rude. It seems like if I ask them for anything they get really irritated. And I always act polite towards them. I think with so many people losing jobs these days that these people should be a little more appreciative that they even have jobs. Most of the airlines are having financial problems so it seems like they would want to do everything possible to keep their customers.
How do you make a specific airline for Flight Simulator? I have seen like a thousand videos of airlines, real airlines, like US Airways, on Flight Simulator 2004- a century of flight, and I was wondering how you apply the color skeme to the aircraft, so I can fly my very own US Airways plane.

Infant formula on airline flight - need scissors to open? Has anyone had any experience with taking prepackaged baby formula on airline flights? I will be travelling with my 6 month old and was thinking of taking the prepackaged liquid baby formula with me so that I don't have to worry about mixing on the plane; however, I will need clean scissors to open and I'm pretty sure that scissors are not going to be allowed in my carry-on luggage. Do the flight attendants have scissors that I can use? Any thoughts/ suggestions are appreciated.
Is it legal to carry medical marijuana on an airline flight? from one med mj state to another med mj state? considering airports are national territory and not state... because of the President's doctrine of non-involvement by national enforcement agencies relating to states' rights on the issue- wouldn't the airport jurisdiction protect that state law right and not interfere? it would make sense then too to protect that right regardless the state the airport is in, as in for plane layovers, connecting flights, unfortunate emergency landings, etc.? felony arrest by whom? state police don't have jurisdiction on airports, right? it's federal land?
Will an airline cancel a flight if there is a risk of a hurricane? What I mean is, let's say one wants to travel to Orlando, FL, for example, but there is currently a risk of a hurricane passing through that area sometime soon. Will the airline still cancel the flight anyway? Or is it only if the hurricane is already passing through? Also, would they cancel the flight even if the hurricane will only pass through a surrounding area? Thanks

Need to change my airline flight, will insurance cover? I bought a ticket that leaves today, im not able to make it because my battery died in my car, I have insurance but they only cover death of a family member, weather etc. What is the cheapest way to get it rescheduled for today.
If you were on an airline flight and the pilot died ? who would you want to take over flying the plane...the experienced co-pilot who has been trained for the job, or the flight attendant? Now before you start yelling sexist, it is possible for a co-pilot to be female and a flight attendant to be male... Seems some of you are not getting it. These are metaphors for the VP candidates...the comparison is based on ability, not gender.
As a new Flight Attendant, should I work for AirTran airline or American Eagle airline? I have a chance to start FA training at two different airlines. Due to cutbacks or pay cuts due to slumps in the airline industry, bankruptcy or corporate takeover which is a better airline to work for, Air Tran airline or American Eagle airline as a flight attendant? Or what pros and cons should I consider between the two before deciding one over the other as a career?
Can an airline change your flight itinerary without your permission? I made a flight reservation through AAA.com, and recently received a flight itinerary change in the mail (from AAA). The change is not convenient at this time, but my flight is not until May, therefore I am afraid that this could become a problem. Do airline typically change itineraries often? This is my first trip by plane, therefore I am unaware.
Any tips for changing airline carriers during the same flight? At the end of May, I will be flying from Birmingham, AL to St.Paul, Minnesota. I start the flight on American Airlines, lay over in Chicago, then continue to MSP on Northwest Airlines. I'm concerned about my luggage and any potential problems during this flight. I have a 1 hour layover flying from BHM to MSP and I have a 3 hour layover on the flight home with the same airline change. I welcomed any advise or guidance

I'm travelling Economy and want to know about the in flight entertainment, leg room and the stop over in Seoul. Is it worth staying over in Seoul for a day or two?
