why do delta airlines international flights have crappy intertainment? i have been on 3 round trip flights to europe and they have all been on delta. They have also all been on 767-300ERs. On all three of the flights all they had was overhead T.Vs. I think that is ridiculous because going on an 11 hour flight with no personal T.Vs is just stupid. The electrical system caught on fire over the Atlantic Ocean on our flight from JFK to Shannon airport so when we landed in Dublin we were taken off the plane and escorted to another part of the terminal and told many different stories except the truth about what was actually going on. After exhausting all other options to find a flight that would get them to Indiana before 8 a.m. Sunday, the Scouts were able to rent a charter bus, which Delta will be covering the cost, said Carlos Santos, Delta spokesman. Although they bought their plane tickets in April, the group of 30 Boy Scouts and their eight chaperones were forced to rent the bus Saturday afternoon when the airline overbooked their flight. On their way to the National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) at Indiana University, the scouts and chaperones arrived in Atlanta shortly after 4 p.m. said Andrew Carranco, one of the chaperones. They were supposed to fly directly to Indiana from San Antonio, but when they arrived at San Antonio International Airport, they were bumped from their flight. Why? According to Carranco, their Delta flight was overbooked and they were being diverted to Atlanta. “When we got off the plane in Atlanta, we were told we should have never come here,” he said. According to Santos, it is rare that customers get bumped from flights. “Normally when that happens,” he said, “It is due to a number of issues. In the past few days there have been a number of thunderstorms in the northeast region and here in Atlanta that have caused flight delays and cancellations.” When the Scouts began planning for the trip, they intentionally purchased all 38 tickets under one person’s name to ensure they would have no problems. “The boys have spent hours preparing for this competition and spent thousands of dollars in costuming,” Carranco said. If they do not make it to Indiana by 8 a.m. Sunday morning, 21 of the 30 boys will be disqualified, he said. Delta officials initially offered to put the group up in a hotel for the night and on a first thing in the morning. Delta airlines only offered us $200 vouchers for a 2 day mid flight delay. This is not Acceptable? There were 7 of us traveling international. We were stranded mid flight for 2 days. 2 of the travelers were stranded an additional day on the way home. I filed a complaint and they offer us 5 $200 vouchers. They offered the 2 people who were delayed 3 days nothing. I find this is unexceptable personally and legally. I have given up with delta but not the matter. Are tickets were all over $900. She refused to cover up and a bunch of women protested by breastfeeding in front of their ticket counter in New Mexico (Where this happened. I personally thing that the airloine was within their rights to remove her from the flight when she refused to cover up. I breastfed my son but it really irks me when women think that they can just whip it out anywhere without covering up. It might be a natural thing to breastfeed, but women don't need to flaunt to people that don't want to see it. There is such a thind as commen sense and decency I didn't say that she doesn't have the right to feed her baby, but there is no reason that she could not have covered herself. I think it is just rude for women to think that it is ok to flaunt it. If breastfeeding needs to be done in public it should be done tastefully.

Why does Delta Airlines treat their customers so poorly? I was bumped from First Class back to coach due to an "equipment change" and when I called Delta customer service to get my SkyMiles back, they said the Gate Agent documented that I chose to fly coach "voluntarily" and would not get back the Skymiles I used for a first class ticket. Has anyone ever flown Delta airlines? I am going out of town and this will only be my second time flying. The first flight that I took , I can't remember the air line, we weren't allowed to bring snacks on the plane. I was pretty upset since I just brought some snacks before I got on the plane hoping I wouldn't have to pay for anything on the plane. Plus I didn't eat breakfast so I was really hungry. Delta Airlines – what can you say about the timeliness of their departures & arrivals? I will fly on Sept. 16 from Dayton to San Francisco using Delta Airlines. The schedule says I will leave Dayton at 3:40 in the afternoon and arrive at San Francisco at 9:16 in the evening. There will be a 1 hour 50 minutes layover in Atlanta. Is that enough time? I have a flight out of San Francisco at 1:20 in the morning of the 17th. That gives me about 4 hours allowance before my flight out of San Francisco. Is Delta Airline usually on time or are they usually delayed? What’s your experience with them when it comes to timely departure/arrival? I just want to know if I have enough time to cover just in case.
