compensation or cancelled Continental flight? Our flight home from Grand Cayman to Vancouver was cancelled because a flight attendant hurt herself. We had to stay 24 hours at a hotel until Continental was able to fly us home. While they paid for the hotel they gave a meagre food allowance-not enough to cover our costs and have offered a $125 trave coupon to each of us. I don't think this is enough as we lost a whole day and missed important appointments. Any suggestions

Booking a vacation package to Las Vegas? Okay, my fiance and I are eloping AND having our honeymoon in Las Vegas for 5 days. I have been reading on here(yahoo answers) that it is better to book hotels, flights, rental cars and etc separately rather than as a package deal but the amount that I am seeing for the flight tickets alone are like $600+ for the both of us(from Houston to Las Vegas). Ive tried Expedia, Priceline, Cheap Tickets, Southwest, Continental. What am I doing wrong? I have looked at several hotels/airline deals and have found packages with hotel, flights, rental car, trip to grand canyon, 2 for 1 attractions and dining for all under $1200. Which is much cheaper than buying separately, I think. Where do you all go to book these things separately to get great deals like I have heard others speak of? And is a rental car a necessity? I heard that the bus is really expensive...like $5 a trip. And also if we get a rental car, do you have to pay for parking when you go to a certain attraction? Also, is it safe to buy tickets and stuff on unknown websites? I feel a little uncomfortable with doing this. This is my first time planning a vacation so I am kind of nervous and do not know what to expect.

First Time Cruisers Advice!? My family is planning on going on our first cruise this February (20-25) with Carnival Cruise from Miami (5 Nights) stopping in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Grand Cayman. We're from New York City and our flight arrives in Miami at 12:20pm and the cruise leaves at 4:00PM. Is this okay? Or should we go with the other option, we leave the night before BUT arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 10PM 2/19. Considering that it's going to be winter and flights are constantly delayed from Newark (We're flying with Continental/United) If we do take this option, then we're staying at a hotel in FLL for the night and leave for Miami in the morning. How long will it take us? We're taking the public transportation btw. The return flight will leave at West Palm Beach (I know it's a bit far but it's cheaper haha) I heard there's a commuter rail for around 5 bucks, how long does it take to travel from Miami to West Palm Beach?
