Continental Academy: A legit high school diploma? In 2005, I graduated from this home-study institution feeling very proud of my accomplishment. After recent studies though, I have found that it wasn't accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Later, in March 2006, they received the right accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools and The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. I haven't been rejected by any colleges, but from researching, some people have, one college even laughed in a guys face. My mother looks down on me, she thinks that my diploma doesn't mean anything. Anything that I have to write my education on she always has something bad to say, like "You better hope they accept that diploma" or "You didn't even finish high school". It makes me depressed, because I am 20 going on 21, and I would be ashamed to have to start all over. It makes me feel that I can't go on with my life with the doubt of my diploma. I just want to know, what should I do?

Is it a real high school diploma? Continental Academy.com is an online high school. I've aplied for it already. I've chose the 24 credit fast track program. They're accredited with some organizations. I've just passed my 400 test questions. And now they said i've met the graduation requirements. Ok, first ive done the SOS from AOP the subjects on the cds are just called math, science, language arts, history and geography, what would i write in the subject section of my transcripts And second, my GPA 3.75(is that good or bad)(9th grade is what i am in) Now do i just take the points and / by 4 ex. math 95.5=A A=4 points now the equation 4/4 equals 1 first is that correct and just do that for all my A's ?(right or worng tell me please) how would i write that, just as 1 or what ? history 89=B B=3 so would i just take 3/4 and get .75 if so would i just write .75?
Online Diploma fake or real? I recieved an online diploma from Continental Academy. I've used it to see if I can get into a sercurity job and the lady had told me that its not valid within the New York state. She said that I was better off to take the GED then I had called the Board of Education to see if they can help me to find out if the diploma was real. He said that the online diplomas are not real and to dont believe everything what you see on the internet. He also mentions that a lot of people have called him about that with different diplomas but he has never heard of Continental Academy. I also went to a college to see if they can take it and the person said no that many students have came in with the same diploma. The reason why I did it was because of a cousin of mine recieved his diploma and now he has UPS job and hes also going to college at the same time.Any help will be appreciated.
Good online homeschool programs for high school? I'm a 15-year-old sophomore currently attending a public school in New Jersey. I've been in public school my whole life, but I've always wanted to be homeschooled or at least try it. Worthless High School Diploma? I've graduated from Continental Academy on September 12, 2005. It is a home based high school located in Miramar, Florida. When I graduated, I found out they weren't accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. As of May 10, 2006, they were awarded accreditation by the SACS & CITA, which are both U.S. recogized agencies. I wanted to know if employers & colleges will accept my diploma. Will they say they can't accept it because it was un-accredited at the time of my graduation? I've heard of a few colleges & governments that wont accept it. I'm twenty years old, and would feel really embarrassed & ashamed if I have to go back to high school. Any information would be helpful.
