Northwest Airlines? Next April, I will be flying out of Milwaukee, have a layover in Detroit, and then landing in Paris. I'm flying Northwest Airlines. Has anyone ever flown on this before? What did you think? Any tips or whatnot?
What are good fares with Northwest Airlines (NWA) from San Diego? I have a $350 voucher with Northwest Airlines and I live in San Diego. (cancelled ticket) All the fares I've looked at seem very expensive (almost $700 for Mexico city!) What are typical flights operated by Northwest where I could use my voucher? (I don't mind adding money, but I don't want to book a super expensive flight with them just because I have a voucher...) Thanks! The cancelled ticket was $450, so it's a $350 voucher

Which would you fly Northwest Airlines or Air Canada? I've never flown with Northwest Airlines, and its been quite a while since I've flown with Air Canada. I'm looking at choosing between the two airlines for an upcoming flight, and I'm not sure which to pick (cost is more or less the same, NWA stops in Minniapolis, whereas AC stops in Toronto, but other than that they are pretty much the same). Anyone flown with one or the other recently? What was the service like in flight? Oh, I should mention I'll be flying coach...
Have you ever flown Northwest Airlines? How is it? In january im flying to New York for a few days, then going to Canada to stay with my Uncle for a week. Im really excited and it should be fun, but i get nervous about flying. I have flown Delta before to Indiana and it was okay. But this time Delta is more expensive, so i was looking at the cheaper Northwest Airlines. How is it compared to Delta or other airlines? should i just spend the extra 70 bucks and flight with the airline i know i will live on!?
What happened with my mileage with Northwest Airlines? My membership no. is 794719516. Every time I want to use my points to make an upgrade, it is not available. This is why in our last travel to the US, we already used another airline. My husband and myself have been using Northwest now Delta for many years including my children and grandchildren.
Can I use my iPod on Northwest Airlines? I'm going on my first ever plane trip next Monday, May 4th. I was wondering if you're allowed to pack your phone charger and if you are allowed to use your iPod in flight? I am taking Northwest Airlines - Pinnacle Airlines... I tried looking on their sites for this information but couldn't find it... Also, if you guys have any tips that would be great! I would appreciate a serious answer, as well... If that's possible...
How does a Northwest Airlines buddy pass work? My boyfriend is a Mesaba Airlines employee and I want to use my buddy pass this weekend, maybe fly out on thursday and come back monday morning. I was just wondering about the likelihood of getting an available seat on both of those days, and the things i should do in advance to improve the chances of getting on a flight.
Anyone board a Northwest Airlines to Canada recently? How's the service and food provided onboard? My sister read some forums on the airlines and get some bad remarks about the service provided by the flight attendants and the food. It says that the flight attendants are unfriendly and are unaccomodating. When the passenger request for a drink or something the attendants will show you an unhappy face. And the food is horrible. But the forum is dated two years ago. I'm abit worried as I'll be travelling with my elderly mum and my baby. I will definitely need them to fill up the bottle with hot water for my baby's milk.
If I'm flying on a northwest flight that is operated by KLM airlines, whose baggage policy do I follow? I'm flying to Uganda in January and I'm considering booking my flight through cheaptickets.com; so far this is the cheapest place I've found (in the last 3 weeks of searching). Looking at the itinerary, it says that all of my flights are through Northwest and I've been given Northwest flight numbers. That said, the flights are operated by KLM airlines, as stated on my itinerary. Northwest Airlines and KLM have different baggage policies. Whose policy would I follow? Thanks!
Question about flying Northwest Airlines with infant? I was wondering if anyone else has flown Northwest with a little one & how strict they are on their stroller carry-on policy. According to their website, umbrella strollers are the only stroller they allow to be stowed when boarding the flight. Has anyone been able to use a regular sized stroller with them? Or is this something that we could get turned anyway for & have to leave our stroller at the airport? I am really hoping to be able to take our regular stroller because of our long layovers, so any help or advice is appreciated!
What is wrong with Northwest Airlines? It seems as if their aircraft seems to mess up. On our way to Dulles, the steering got stuck (during the pre-flight check) and we ended up on Delta (thank goodness--much better service). On the way back from Dulles, we were stuck with Northwest. Everyone was on board and the electricity kept cutting out and they couldn't start the jet engines, so we had to disembark and get on an alternate plane. Could this be fallout from the mechanics' strike a year ago? Also, the Northwest flight attendants acted like they had chips on their shoulders. We are flying Delta or United from now on, no matter how expensive it is.
What is the breakdown on how the $15 fee works for checked baggage for Northwest Airlines? I have one bag I need to check to go to St. Louis. I have a layover in Minneapolis on the way there, and on the way back from Seattle. Will it cost $30 dollars for the round trip to check my bag? Or is it $15 dollars per connection, which would make it $60? If anyone who has flown recently on Northwest and checked a bag could tell me, that would be great, cause its darn hard to find on the NWA website.
Muslims in Detroit are calling for a boycott of Northwest Airlines, does that make the airline safer? Muslims who claim they were racially profiled by Northwest Airlines and refused boarding are currently suing Northwest airlines and calling for a boycott. The majority of people flying are non-Muslim and this makes me wonder, will non-Muslims be more or less likely to fly Northwest during the boycott? This is an important issue because it could mean that the boycott could have exactly the opposite effect of what the organizers were hoping for. If the results are opposite it could start a trend that could create a driving business reason to discriminate against Muslims. Please keep these answers real, not a bunch of hateful rhetoric. If the boycott by Muslims results in an increase of non-Muslim business it could also effect stock prices and result in a kind of control of stock prices through encouraging or discouraging Muslim boycotts or usage of products or services. This is an interesting issue on a bunch of levels and I wanted to get a snap shot of feelings on the issue.
Question about flying Northwest Airlines with an Infant? I was wondering if anyone else has flown Northwest with a little one & how strict they are on their stroller carry-on policy. According to their website, umbrella strollers are the only stroller they allow to be stowed when boarding the flight. Has anyone been able to use a regular sized stroller with them? Or is this something that we could get turned anyway for & have to leave our stroller at the airport? I am really hoping to be able to take our regular stroller because of our long layovers, so any help or advice is appreciated! I agree it is to big to stow with my carry on, just wondering though if they will check it at the gate for me? I can check it with my luggage, but then won't be able to use it until we get to our final destination 12 hours & 2 layovers later. My little girl just gets so restless in umbrella strollers, so hopefully it will work out.
Why is Northwest Airlines so eager to merge with Delta? I'm really upset because I like MSP - Minneapolis Airport and they've done an outstanding job keeping flights on schedule and accomodating customers like me in Minneapolis. - NEVER ONCE BEEN DELAYED. ! It's a well-run airport and manages its operations more smoothly than Atlanta-Hartfield. I am very unhappy that Minneapolis is losing its big hub, I'm very strongly opposed to the merge and think it's not fair to Northwest. Edit: neilinpd, it's unfair to Northwest employees that Northwest management can't appreciate how strong their airline can be without needing Delta. My argument is that Northwest spokespeople could do a better job representing the interests of Northwest as a whole. They are selling their own airline short.
Northwest Airlines, Unaccompanied minors program? I am planning on fling my youngest brother (9 years old) out to see me this summer. I was shopping around and the best priced airlines for that program is northwest. I personally have never flown Northwest, and have never flied as a minor. I was wondering if anyone had any input on either the airline itself, or even better, the unaccompanied minors program, aside from what they post on their website. Thank you.
Is Northwest Airlines World Business Class really as good as it seems? I just wanna know if the food is good? Are the beds comfortable and easy to sleep in? Is the staff friendly? Is it worth it to buy a business class ticket, just for the flat-bed, service, and meals? My Flight is an 8hr and 50min flight from Memphis to Amsterdam. And an 8hr 50min flight from Amsterdam to Detroit And my flight, from MEM to AMS is an overnight flight.
Why are Northwest Airlines tickets so cheap? I'm searching for a trip and the NWA tickets are about $186 while every other airline is running at about $278 upward. I've never flown NWA so I'm wondering, what's the difference? I know I shouldn't be complaining about a ticket being too cheap, but that huge difference in the price, given the current economy we're in, is kind of sending up a red flag for me. Is NWA a good and safe airline?
Does Northwest airlines show in flight movies? I am being told there may not be a movie shown on my Northwest flight from Phoenix to Detroit?? Why not? It's supposed to be a 4 hour flight!!! It's on a Boeing 757-200 if that helps. The trip from Detroit to Phoenix will be almost 4 and a half hours. I've never been on a flight that long without a movie.
Can a 13 year old traveling alone on northwest airlines take a carry on pet with them? im 13 and i will be going from michigan to texas so its about a 2 and a half hour flight. On the way to texas my aunt will be with me so she could carry the dog, but on the way home i will be alone. will i be able to take the dog with me????Also how old does the dog have to be to take it on the carry on
How much should Northwest Airlines compensate me? We just had a sudden loss of cabin pressure on our flight resulting in the oxygen masks deploying, a strong smell of smoke in the cabin and a diversion to a different city. Needless to say, we were all very scared and they didn't tell us anything!!
