Best airline/tips for flying pregnant? I posted this in air travel and all I got was "I wouldnt because the air pressure would put you into labor"... Which I do not believe to be trye. We are planning on flying home mid-late august and around that time I will be about 28-30 weeks, depending on the week we go. My Dr Ok'd it as long as I don't start to have pre-term labor before that or develop any complications before then. I might plan to go a little earlier just to be on the safe side. Tips for airplane travel with your dog? I'm planning on moving across that Atlantic in 6 months or so and we're going to bring out dog with us. I've been trying to research travel tips but I'd like to know what you lot think? They said stuff about not feeding the dog 12 hours before a flight to avoid them throwing up. But the flight is about 7 hours anyway and she gets car sick after 10 minutes if we feed her or not and at least if she's fed she'll have something to throw up. One site also recommended putting a bowl of frozen water in with them, but the airline that I'm looking at doesn't recommend giving the animal food or water - that they'll give them water if the flight is delayed - but like I said it's a bit of a long flight and I was thinking about giving her a bone anyway. Well, the one thing I'm sure is that I'm buying the crate this week to get her super comfortable with it. She's a bit of a timid dog so it might take her awhile to warm up to a new bed that's enclosed. Any more tips/hints/advice?

Young solo traveller through Malaysian Borneo. Travel tips and experiences welcome? Hello all. I have plans to travel around south east asia for 3 - 4 weeks. One part of this trip is to visit Malaysian Borneo. I'm unsure of this region and your advise is much appreciated. Flying into Brunei (royal brunei airlines from melbourne australia) to look around. Then plan to head to Kota Kinabalu and the surrounding areas. How do you travel from Brunei to Kota Kinabalu (most economical but time wise too). I plan to base myself in KK. Other say to visit the danum valley, sepilok, islands offshore on the east coast and the poring hot springs? Do you recommend visiting these places? and what other places do you recommend is a not miss. Also the transport. I have been looking at possibly booking an intrepid travel tour of the north of borneo but i figure I could manage by myself and save a more authentic travel experience. I'm wondering if when i land they offer tours of these sights from KK? eg the local companies there... For me my holiday is on a budget, not too fancy on dorm accomodation though. I also understand that the eastern part of borneo has travel warnings of kidnapping and etc due to the close proximity to risky minandao (phillipines). Tips on airplane travel with kids? I'm taking my 5 and 8 year old on a trip this week, and neither have ever been on an airplane before. We have to get up VERY early in the morning (our flight leaves at 6am; it takes 50 mins to get to the airport, and I have to factor in kid-lag and airport hassles, so we're going to have to be in the car at like... 3:15. Ugh.), and the flight from Seattle to DC is long and will probably get delayed. I know I'm going to have at least one of them be cranky and probably forget something. How does a pilot decide the route of travel? I flew from melbourne to london last year. I had to transit from kula lumpur to london . The plane took a very long route through andaman islands-india (through delhi) pakistan, tip of afganistan and iran, iraq , turkey , russia , poland , germany and finally england . instead of making the long turn through india the plane could have gone through russia and then to england which would have been a shorter trip. How can i get an airline to change the passenger names on tickets? I bought round trip tickets for my soon to be ex wife and two kids to Mexico back in August. The problem is that I don't want her to make this trip anymore because I fear she might not come back since she has family living down there. I'm freaking out about the security lines, as well...according to the United Airlines website, jewelry and even the underwires in a bra can trigger the metal detectors and result in a "closer" inspection by a TSA official. I definitely don't want that, but I can't wear a bra without underwires and I don't want to risk losing my rings (I wear 3, my wedding set and my college ring, but that's the only jewelry I wear) if I have to take them off. Should I just pack them in my carry-on? Thanks in advance for your help...I want this experience to go as smoothly as possible! ETA: I am not afraid of flying, as I flew pretty often as a kid. I just don't want to be flagged by security or have to worry about checking my bag because it's the wrong size, etc. And I did look at the TSA website, but I wanted answers from real human beings, not a government agency.

What is the cheapest way to buy domestic airline tickets in China and Southeast Asia? I am going to China, Thailand (hopefully!), Vietnam and Cambodia from October 12 to January 3. What is a "boxed breakfast" from a hotel? I'm going on a trip to France and several of the days we are getting "boxed breakfast" from the hotel, and I don't know what to expect.
