Of the following Airlines... which is best?
See, I might be going on a 10-day trip to D.C. from Hartford. I'm a minor (who'll be traveling alone) and don't know a lot about travel, so which is best: -a nonstop flight (less complicated) -a one-stop flight (if it's cheaper) and: -landing directly in D.C. -landing in Baltimore & driving to D.C. (if it'd be cheaper altogether) and then: -U.S. Airways (the cheapest [$117]- is that a bad sign?) -Delta Airlines -Continental Airlines -United Airlines -American Airlines (by far and wide, the most expensive [$654]- is it better quality though?) I'd also like to know you guys' personal experiences with these airlines to help me with my decision (if I'm even going).

- okay Ive traveled alone as a minor and its deffinately easier to do a nonstop flight, and worth the money. Because you wont have to get on and off the plane which leads to confusion. also landing directly would also be easier because driving always makes things more complicated. Out of all the airlines ive only flown continental and U.S. Overalll theres not really a large difference between most airplanes besides the food. so if you dont really mind what you eat I'd just choose the cheapest airline which in this case is U.S :]
- well, a nonstop flight would definitely be quicker and less complicated. but if you're willing to spend cheaper (which most people do) for a one-stop, it wouldn't be as bad either. it's not complicated if you know how to listen and follow the signs to your next gate. i would definitely prefer landing directly in DC, but if you really want to experience a drive from baltimore, then you should do it. i've flown with all of the airlines and most of them are good - i think they're all the same. i'd just stick with the cheapest if i were you though. when i flew us airways, it was awesome. delta, i had a bad experience, my flight was delayed. continental was also very awesome. united was good and american was alright. to me, they're all the same, i'd just go with the cheapest that way you have more money to spend while you're in DC. hope you have an awesome trip, if you go. and be safe.
- whoa, $654 from Hartford to DC? You could probably rent a limo for that! Believe me--even for First Class, this would be a rip. US Airways is fine. So are all the others. Airlines are all commodities anymore. The best you can hope for is a clean plane, an ontime departure, and a polite and friendly crew. Actually had a decent experience on United last night. I would recommend flying nonstop into DCA for least chance of complication. Have a nice trip!
