- Where's Shatner when you need him?
- cheaptickets.com weekdays are best I just bought some and when you first go there, you enter in your info and they search for the best prices
- You can buy Continental tickets right from the Continental website, I think thier prices are pretty much set. I work for Continental so I fly for $20 round trip in the US, but I am just a ramp worker, and don't deal with tickets so maybe I am wrong.
- Mostly weekdays and about 14-days advance will be cheaper. Connecting flights are unrealiable, so best thing is to get direct flight.
- There is no single time of the day or week that is always cheaper. If they did that, everyone would wait for that one time of the week and not buy tickets at any other time. No airline would be that stupid. Airlines constantly change fares based on supply and demand. I've seen prices change in the middle of making a reservation. I've them change multiple times in a single day for the same flight. The only general rules are: a. They're usually cheaper if you buy more than 14 days before you leave. b. If you fly on Tuesday or Wednesday, it may be cheaper than the rest of the week. c. Airlines sometimes try to increase fares over a weekend and then retract them if their competitors don't follow suit. You might want to avoid buying on a weekend if you can. Other than that, it's like trying to predict stock prices. Fares may be lower tomorrow. They may be higher. No one knows. The cheapest place to buy a Continental Airlines ticket is on Continental's website. There won't be a service fee if you buy it directly from them. If you want to shop many airlines for the lowest fare, try Kayak.com.
