Continental Airline Tickets

What is the most convenient and cheapest way to book flights within the continental US?

  1. usually a good rule of thumb is to book during the week from tuesday thru thursday. And to book 2 weeks in advance. One of the lowest carriers is southest southwest.com. They have excellent service and you can fly almost anywhere in the continental US for under $100 each way. For instance you can fly from STL to Dallas for around $40. Also be flexible on your flight times.
  2. DING! (it's not spam, it's a legitimate answer)
  3. The following websites allow you to search most airlines by lowest fare for when and where you want to fly, and then book your flight online. You can also search for things like one-way, non-stop only, or sort by shortest flying time rather than lowest price. www.orbitz.com www.travelocity.com www.expedia.com However, Southwest and Jet Blue aren't listed on these sites and will sometimes (not always) have the lowest fares. Jet Blue doesn't fly to very many airports, but if they happen to fly where you're going they're super cheap and have satalite TV in all the seats. www.southwest.com www.jetblue.com A quick note on previous post about Southwest: not from Portland to Burbank :-)
