Continental Airline Tickets

Continental Airlines and E Tickets Birmingham to New York in Feb?

Flying with Continental Airline very soon and they have issued me E Tickets, first time i have used them what do i have to do and is it easy with them. I have read all the official stuff to do but would be good to get afew accounts on ease of use. going from Birmingham (uk) to Newark (NY)

  1. This is standard practice - you just check in with your e-tickets and will be given your boarding pass. If your visit is short, you will also be given the actual return tickets also. Just saw another answer - you cannot use the "quick check in" machines on a transatlantic flight. You would do the regular check in at the airline counter
  2. E-ticket or a paperless ticket, call a few days ahead to confirm and get a good seat selection. Check in at the normal check in counter or use one of those quick check in machines (with or without luggage). A photo id will be required.
  3. Traveling with e-tickets is esentially have a reservation and ticket without the need to carry actually paper tickets. All you should do is have a copy of your itinerary as a back-up and just show up a little early since it is your first time with e-tickets.
