Aston Martin DB9 or Bentley Continental GT?
Similar money, similar power, power, etc and both aimed at the same market. The Porsche 911 is going and the test drives are soon to be booked so this is not some 18 year olds fantasy. Opinions please from owners and even the dreamers. I'm afraid all the 2 seaters are out, i have 2 kids so F430 is out of the equation, along with anything Lambo, the R80, etc. A friend who sells the Massa GT says the build quality isn't quite there yet, depreciation still massive, and as for my 911 being a girls car? ha ha, your a funny man! RS4 and BM6 just look too ordinary, they might as well be made in 'beige' and, no footballer here, just a car lover who saves his money and doesn't go into debt to get what he wants.

- Also look at the new Maserati GT. Looks like a good deal at $115k. I own two Porsches. If I was in your position, I would first think about what type of car I'd want. Example is the Jaguar. I think I'd like one when I'm 65 or 70. It seems like a great car, but usually driven by olg guys and ladies. The Bentley seems kind if hip-hop and loud, and the Aston seems James Bondish. Not sure about the Maserati - maybe a toned-down Ferrari. I'll bet they're all great cars. If it was me, I'd decide which one I'd want to own, and then spend most of my time on that. Maybe I'd test the others, just for completeness.
- defiantly Aston martin DB9 there's no competition
- I have both and it depends on what I'm doing as to which I drive. AM for smart, cool, rich, with taste or BC for loaded, but rather faded and somewhat lacking in taste - depends on the girl!
- Porche is a ladies' car Aston haven't made a nice car since the db6 (vantage was a chunky beast) db9 looks horrid Bentley just isn't Bentley any longer Perhaps a second-hand Bristol would suit "The sporting man's Rolls" or a Jenson if you are after a racier look? the British do not currently make proper cars much to my chagrin
- DB9 DB9 DB9 DB9 DB9 DB9 DB9 DB9 DB9 DB9 DB9
- After reading something with total impartiality it has to be the ? I would have to test drve both cars without doing so you can not make a totally correct choice!
- Neither. I have driven past several DB9's and they look awful and even a bit dated. And the Bentley is too pretensious. Too flash for me, I personally would pick either an Audi RS4 and get it seriously uprated with the extra money or a BMW M6 Coupe. My dad has an RS4 and its a cracking car. But you are looking for a 200mph 2 seater. I personally would pick a Murcielago LP640.
- Neither. New Astons all bling, noise & Ford bits. Bentley is a big Volkswagen. Both are footballer's cars (apologies if you are a famous footballer, if so, buy both) and both will date and depreciate badly. I actually think the current crop of Astons look a bit 'yesterday' already, & the Bentley might as well be a Nissan, for all the visual impact it has! If it were my money.... 1: Alfa Romeo 8C...gorgeous!!! 2: Maserati GT..also gorgeous, with Ferrari engine!! 3:Audi R8..Lambo Gallardo for Mr. Sensible.
- With a choice out of just two, I'd say the DB9. The Bentley is too brash, and is associated with soccer players. The Aston will alway be cooller, because of it's Bond connection. See the Top Gear Cool Wall. http://www.topgear.com/jsp/coolwall/ Top Gear | Cool Wall
- Neither - I would buy an Audi R8 - especially V10 when it appears. However, if forced to chose between Aston and Bentley I would prefer the DB9.
- Driven both. The GT is a much easier car to live with . The aston is very low to the ground and i found it uncomfortable over long distance . The GT will seat four but theres not much legroom in the back. Best advice is to go test drive both.
- How do you choose between those two.... can't you get the two of them.???/ PS tom i think im in wuff with you!
