2004 Bentley Continental GT or 2008 Mercedes-Benz S550?

Hello, I am having a internal dispute with myself if I should purchase a 2004 Continental GT for $80,000 or a S550 brand new for $105,000. The GT has 8k miles on it and in great condition. Im a buinsess man, so a respectable look is also important to me. Thank You!

2. They are both luxury vehicles but one is a 4 door sedan, the other a 2 door coupe. A more direct comparison would be the Benz CL550 to the Bentley GT. At least you will be comparing a coupe to a coupe. I don't think you could go wrong either way though. Both are gorgeous vehicles.

6. I would highly recommend you purchase the 2008 Mercedes-Benz SL550 for $105,000 over the 2004 Bentley Continental GT. This is because the Mercedes-Benz will always be moving you and will not require that much time in the service shop; while the Bentley will need you to move it and will always have you stuck in the service shop, as it will want to be serviced every day practically. Another reason is that the SL550 is a much more executive car compared to the Continental GT, as it is a four door car and offers a lot more technology. All in all, get the Mercedes-Benz S550 and forget the Bentley Continental GT.
7. The S550....being a business man it fits your image more....you did not say if you had kids or not, but it's better for rear passengers...plus its new!
8. You need to drive each of them, and see which one you like the best since money is not the deciding factor and you are the one that will be driving it all the time. I will share this with you. I am MB service advisor, and all my customer that owned the previous S class model that has the new S550 have said it is so much better than the older S500. It comes down to your personal preference and whether you want 4 yrs of new car warranty versus extended warranty. I would take new car warranty any day.

10. Bentley. Way better looking of a car. Also Benz's are very costly in the repair department and you will have it in the shop a lot. I owned an E320 for 4 months and got rid of it because of all the problems it had.
11. The S550 is certainly receiving rave reviews. I drove one for about 2 hours a few months ago and, although I'm not very keen on the Maybach-like exterior styling, I did find it to be an exquisite car from a driver's perspective. The Continental GT is extremely handsome in my opinion but I have a hard time justifying the cost as it is the VW Phaeton platform with Bentley sheet metal and the Phaeton has not had a stellar reliability record. Far from. The service costs for the Bentley will terrify you (not that the S550's maintenance costs are paltry, either, but perhaps not quite so heart stopping).
