How to Ship a Computer (internationally)?

I'm Planning to buy a iMAC in the U.S., the problem is that how will i bring that iMac to the Philippines(currently living country)... I was thinking to ship it by DHL or fed EX, but i'm worried that the freight fee would be not included in the Philippine Custom. or maybe i could include it as a luggage, but I'm afraid there will be trouble. My flight(Northwest Airlines) would be from Philly to Detroit, from Detroit to Philippines... so any opinions or advices?

1. I ship computer servers internationally through Fedex. The procedure to do this online is quite complicated. I would advise taking the iMac to a Fedex facility, filling out the paperwork there and shipping it through them. I know that, in Europe, Fedex hands off deliveries to DHL. Not sure how they do it in the Philippines
