Continental Airline Tickets

United Airlines and US Airways merging??

I heard the Continental and United merging idea is off. But I recentlt heard United was negotiating with US Airways. What do you think will happen? United is a rival to US Airways and vice versa. Does anyone have the latest information?

2. As far as last night, listening to the united guys and us air guys on the air to air channels, the merger is dead in the water. They seem pretty happy about it too. Who the hell wants to be back on the bottom of the seniority list

7. United and US Air are flight partners meaning they share in their frequent flier plans. United and Conintental are not partners. I would have to think the United / US Air would be a better merger. I fly US Air and Continental very frequently. Can't stand United.
8. According to the latest edition of Air Transport World Magazine Continental has announced they are not interested in a merger and United is already in talks with U.S. Air. United seems to want to merge with another airline and this one may go through. With all of the airlines bleeding red ink, it's seems like urge to merge is the order of the day. .
