What is the recommended tire pressure in a 1993 Lincoln continental?
My rear right door is stuck so I can't get to the placard. I'm really concerned that my tires might be under inflated so I'd appreciate any help I could get. I'm looking for the pressure recommended on the placard (looks like a sticker) on the rear right door. All cars have a placard somewhere that tells you the optimum tire pressure for that particular car.

- 36psi
- It is extremely unlikely that the tires are the originals, which may have been different from what you have now, although I doubt it. Look on the rim of the tire...where the name and size are cast into the rubber, you will also find the recommended pressure.
- Almost all cars are 35psi. Look on the tire, it will have the maximum psi on it. All tires have it stamped on them.
- Tire is not set by the "Type of Car" but by the "Type of Tire"! On the side of the tire where the Tire Size is stamped is the "Max. Cold Pressure" for that Tire. The higher the pressure, the Stiffer the Ride! Most tires 2/3 of that Max. Pressure is what is Recommended! Start at 32 or 33 Psi. Drive the Car and adjust the "Pressure for the Ride" up from there with a max. of 36 Psi. NOTE; Make sure those are the tires Recommended for that type of car! 80% Nitragon will also give a "Softer Ride!"
- its either 30 or 32. don' t go by what's stamped on the tire. thats the max pressure for the tire, and it don't take into account the type of vehicle it's mounted on.
- Just put 35 lbs. in them and you will be fine.
