SturdiBag dog carrier?
I asked this in "air travel", but apparently that's a pretty slow section... it also pertains to dogs, so I'll ask here. Has anyone used a SturdiBag carrier on an airline? My other option is the Sherpa-Delta, but SturdiBag is 1.5 inches taller, which I think would be more comfortable for my dog. (She's right at 11" at the withers.) Both are within the size-regulation for the airline. I can find lots of reviews and people who have used the Sherpa, but not many reviews on the SturdiBag. I asked a question about carriers yesterday, and most people then had used the Sherpa but not the SturdiBag. So I'm looking for anyone who has used the SturdiBag to tell me how you liked it. (I want to have both sides of information, on the SturdiBag and on the Sherpa, before making my final purchase.) Most people know what the Sherpa looks like. Here is a link to the SturdiBag: http://www.sturdiproducts.com/4111/xcart/home.php?cat=1

- I used a Sherpa. The only problem I can see with the Sturdibag being taller, is that it might be more difficult to shove under the seat. The Sherpa that I used, just barely fit under the seat, I had to squish the top down a couple of inches to get it under there. You might want to find out what type of plane you'll be flying on, and what the exact measurements are of the space under the seat, so you can make a more informed decision about what might fit under there best, and if your dog will fit under there comfortably as well. Hope I've been of some help, sorry I couldn't help more.
- I have never heard of it, but the following is all I could find regarding reviews on it, and it is for cats (I assume it would still be helpful) http://www.catreviews.com/catcarriers/no-more-kitty-jail-sturdiproductscom-offers-sweet-release/
- I actually bought mine for about $20 - much cheaper than the one you are refering to. As long as it FITS UNDER THE SEAT - that's all you need to worry about. So the cheaper the better. The airlines are REALLY picky. So I would make this your main concern. Since your dog will only be in there for a couple of hours - don't worry about "padding" inside or anything like that. She will be just fine. This one is similar to the one that I have: http://www.jbpet.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=505_596&products_id=541 Mine is black & I have carried my cat on board with me many times & none of the other passengers - even those right next to me - even realized that I had a cat in it! Which is very nice cuz some people can be total @-holes & freak out if there is an animal on the plane - even if it's in a cage. Of course, I don't freak out if a fat stinky person sits next to me - but my sweet little CLEAN cat in her crate will cause people to go berzerk! Anyway - best of luck to you!
