Why does Continental Airlines have different letters in the same fare class?
The only difference I can find is how you end up earning or can use benefits if you are an Elite OnePass member: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/onepass/elite/qualify.aspx For example, "Economy Class" can have the fare code "K, M, N, B, O, V, U". If all of these fare codes belong to "Economy Class", why bother having 7 different codes for them??

- different fare within coach price. they also will have different restrictions or benefits. the lowest class may not earn miles, a high coach class may allow changes. Travel, and air tickets specifically, are not as easy as everyone seems to think. You might do well to have a travel agent handle your reservations, you seem to be a bit of a beginner in this area.
- It is callled fare bucket! "Y" means coach and/or economy! Then every letter means differnt restrictions, i.e. validity minimum stay Northwest Airlines Seats availability Advance Purchase: xxxx days (usually 3, 7, 14, 21 and 28) Day of week: xxx days a week End travel: xxxx xx, 2008 Begin travel: xxx, xx008 etc.etc
