Continental Airline Tickets

How do you feel about Continental Airlines?

I was just contacted to interview with them for a Flight Attendant position. Are they a good airline? Your thoughts...

Public Comments

  1. "nothing"
  2. ehh they're ok... not the top notch but not horrible they do need nicer flight attendents tho..
  3. I couldnt give a continental about them.
  4. They've made a major turn-around...for the better...over the last 10 years. Of the legacy carriers, United, American, Delta, etc., I think Continental has got their act together better than the others. I use them exclusively for trans-Atlantic flights. From the employee point of view...they're average. They made their comeback mostly by busting the unions and lowering their wages and benefits to a point where they are able to remain competitive. So I imagine that there's some griping within the ranks over pay as compared to the other legacies (who are just now lowering their cost / wages...mostly through bankruptcy...to become competitive.) Continental has already been down that road and has, I believe, a bright future.
  5. i personally enjoy the service that i get on continental airlines. i have flown them many times and i do not have a bad experience with them. I have been on a continental flight for over 10hrs and did not have a problem(and that is not counting the way back home). As far as working for continental i cannot give you any feedback on that. sorry
  6. Continental has the best frquent flyer program in the industry. They have also improved their scheduling in the past 12 years. They still serve food on domestic flights. Their former CEO had the foresight to replace all the older aircraft and to standardize their fleet, resulting in substantial savings. Their program of flying to new smaller international destinations using smaller aircraft (like 757-200) has proven to be profitable. Just take a look at their last quarterly earnings! The stock went up substantially yesterday.
  7. I haven't had a major problem with them, once they are in the air. Though I was shocked that their transcontinental planes were so small. Their crews at the gate could use a little courtesy retraining though.
  8. they are very nice the food is not great and 1st class is not really 1st class
  9. To be honest, I've never really enjoyed flying Continental, as their seats are so uncomfortable-- no leg room! But their flight crews are very friendly and most accomodating ie, they don't throw blankets and pillows at you when you ask for them (I'm looking at you Delta!). I'm not sure if their policy has changed, but for a while there, they didn't offer bottled water on flights, just tap, though I'm sure that's changed. I believe they still offer meals on domestic flights, whereas other airlines offer 'box meals' that you have to purchase before the flight takes off. The best of luck on your interview!
  10. They are an excellent airline and they are not in bankruptcy. They have clean planes and good staff working with them.
  11. The Baths in New York in the old days were not bad---but we just took a taxi over.
