Has anyone taken the Asiana Airline flight from Heathrow to Sydney via Seoul?
Have read some reviews about seat space etc, but they seemed to be from Business Class. I'm travelling Economy and want to know about the in flight entertainment, leg room and the stop over in Seoul. Is it worth staying over in Seoul for a day or two? Any thoughts on this would be great. I travelled Emirates in their early days and thought they were fine....is Asiana a similar quality? Many thanks

- I can't give you first hand experience on the Heathrow to Seoul leg but have flown Sydney Seoul a few times now. Asiana are a reasonable airline but not up to Emirates standard. Seoul is an interesting city and there is quite a bit to see, it's clean and safe so do recommend a stopover if you trip allows. FYI the airport is at Inchon and takes about 90 minutes to get to Seoul
- i have different opinion then previous answer. i have flown both Asian and emirates on long haul flights. i also flown many airlines around the world and by far, Asian airline, specially economy class is excellent. emitates are only good if you are flying first or business class but when it comes to economy, it is rather misery. their seat pitch is rather poor. i do recommend you to take Asian. their service is just wonderful! of course, emirates have state of the art entertainment system, but seats are just awful in economy, also i was very disappointed with their catering in economy. it seems as though, they only care for business and first class passengers. by the way, Asian is 5 star airline and emirates are only 4 stars. i wonder why??? perhaps their in-flight service isn't up to the part???
