Continental Airline Tickets

Should I fly on US Airways or Southwest between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia?

The fare is the same for the dates I want, which airline is better?

  1. I prefer Southwest given a choice. The staff is friendly and they have more customer-friendly policies if you run into any problems.
  2. For U.S. Airways you must click over here: http://www.usairways.com/awa/booking/BuildItinerary.aspx For Southwest Airlines you must click over here: http://www.southwest.com/cgi-bin/showItinerary?ref=bkflt_hp_wf_tt
  3. To me, if I can make my reservations 3 months ahead then I will know that I am saving plenty of money on my airline tickets and if I see one airline is cheaper then the other , then I pick the cheapest one. In short - it is just a matter of preference. Also, the reply that soar_2307 seems to be an excellent response.
  4. Southwest for sure. Especially in and out of Philly. USAir is horrible with baggage in Philly.
  5. I like southwest better. They have a good on time rate, nice crew (in general) and the seats are pretty comfortable.
  6. "If you are checking bags and want to see them again I suggest never taking USA out of or to Philly. That baggage system is possibly the worst in commercial aviation." Something a US Air pilot told me not too long ago.
