  1. I would just toss it. They have extra copies of it in the maintenance log book. No big deal. Brakes are fine if they got a release for it. They're just being cautious and keeping an eye on things like they're supposed to.
  2. I know this can be very intimidating, but don't worry. These maintenance mechanics know what they are doing with these aircrafts. The aircraft would not be taking off if there was even a question about anything to do with the functionality of its breaks. If I were you I would call the United Customer Service line and just ask them what they want you to do with it. They may ask you to fax it or mail it to them or do nothing at all. But please don't be worried. These Aeronautical Maintenance Engineers know that aircraft like the back of their hands and wouldn't even let some aircrafts fly with a lightbulb burnt out, let alone a failing break.
  3. You could send it to them with a letter if you want. But I'm sure they're not going to do anything about it. I've seen toilets overflow on United aircraft before, and dried vomit in the seat pocket, and lots of other nasty stuff on United planes before. United is the only airline that I'm scared to fly.
