My friend in USA has bought me a flight ticket from UK to USA in USD with continental airlines will i be ?

able to fly using this ticket there not allowing me to check in online.

4. When your friend bought the ticket, I sure hope they put your name on it! If they bought the ticket, and didn't put you as the passenger...you are out of luck. Names on tickets can't be changed. Is your flight less than 24 hours away? If the ticket is in your name, you may be trying to check in to early. You may have to wait until you get to the airport to check in.
