- They don't measure per barrel, they measure per pound, or should I say thousands of pounds.
- depends on the MPG and the distance traveled. is it a hybred?
- Hi,I have no idea on how many barrel it is but you can enter the link below..hope it help you.Goodluck
- A plane like a Boeing 747 uses approximately 1 gallon of fuel (about 4 liters) every second. Over the course of a 10-hour flight, it might burn 36,000 gallons (150,000 liters). According to Boeing's Web site, the 747 burns approximately 5 gallons of fuel per mile (12 liters per kilometer).
- What's your real question? Why do you think there is a meaningful number that can be described as "how many barrels of jet fuel an airliner is filled up with"? For one thing, jet fuel doesn't come in barrels. It seems there are some incorrect assumption built into your question. A 747 can hold 48,400 gallons of usable jet fuel. You really can't convert that easily into barrels. A standard barrel of petroleum is 42 gallons, so that would suggest you could just divide by 42 to get 1,152. But 42 gallons of oil is not the same as 42 gallons of jet fuel. When you convert a barrel of oil into jet fuel, you get other things too. Those things have value. When you refine oil, your 42 gallons of oil winds up producing more than 42 gallons total of various products including gasoline, jet fuel, home heating oil, and so on.
- It depends on the aircraft, the engines, the length of the flight and the number of passengers. Pilots calculate the fuel they need based upon the length of the flight and the expected weight of the aircraft. This is information which is calculated after we know the number of passengers that will be flying that particular day. More passengers = more weight = more fuel. That is why people cannot be allowed on to board planes if they arrive late to check-in. The loads have already been given to the pilot to calculate fuel needs and other variables.
