Continental Airline Tickets

how does the buddy pass continental international work?

My dad works for Continental US as a pilot, so I would be able to fly to Europe really cheap. I'm related to my father though. If I wanted a friend to come with me (buddy pass), how would that work exactly? How much probably? Thanks!

  1. My brother works for Continental and I'm listed as a significant other. I can book personal or vacation tickets through his website username and password. Personal would cost about $55 for coach to UK and $155 for first class. Vacation is just taxes and u can book first class, same price as coach when using vacation pass. I got the vacation pass and flew first class to the UK last month. It was really nice and around only $55 taxes for the vacation pass You are flying stand-by though so there is a chance u might not get on the plane, but thats based on your fathers status in the company weather u will be one of the first or last stand-by people to board. just watch the flights seats booked from continental.com or your dads employee website
  2. They recently raised the price of international buddy passes, I think it's something like $385 transatlantic. Your father can set up an account for you to book your own passes. That account will let you check the prices of buddy passes, and if your father wants to, he can give you authority to book buddy passes from your login.
