Need to change my airline flight, will insurance cover?
I bought a ticket that leaves today, im not able to make it because my battery died in my car, I have insurance but they only cover death of a family member, weather etc. What is the cheapest way to get it rescheduled for today.

- Call the airline directly. You probably have a discounted ticket (most are), so there will be some cost involved. The change fee is probably between $50 and $100, plus the difference in the price of the ticket you bought and the cheapest ticket currently available. It may cost nothing other than the change fee, or it may cost hundreds of dollars. It may be worth while to beg a friend for a ride or call a taxi or limo service to try to catch your original flight.
- Phone your airline immediately. Many have an unwritten "flat tire clause" for reasonably unforseeable circumstances, and will try to accomodate you on the next flight. Keep your receipts (towing, tolls, parts, etc.) to help prove your case if necessary.
