  1. Toyo has generally been a very good tire for smaller sport vehicles, unfortunately I haven't heard anything about their performance on larger vehicles such as a range rover. However I hear rave reviews about Bridgestone and Falken for large vehicles. Personally I'm sitting on Falkens and driving a vehicle of equivalent weight (crown victoria) and haven't had any problems yet. Dry road traction is superb, and the reaction speed is phenomenal. Wet traction is a cut above the rest. SNOW thanks to minnesota i can also tell you about their snow performance. Its decent. better control as far as turning goes, but stopping on snow/ice is hit or miss (but in SoCal you dont have to worry about that!) Theres my 2 cents, Good luck!
  2. well you have one of the best now and so is toyos... what i tell people is cal three places ask whats your cheapest tire in the size you have and when they tel you .. you ask what else you have in that size and that tire will be the better tire lasting a longer time thus costing you less to drive ...this might help you decide
  3. TOYOs are dead money they may be durable but grip is useless the best possible tyres in my opinion are HANCOOKS
  4. 4x4 much? If so I run the BFG All-Terain . They are the only ones with a triple tread side wall. For my current tires for my 2000Tundra I went with Big o's AT and it is very similar to the BFG. So much so that my next tires will be the BFG AT (LT17). The price is about the same and I love the grip. I live in the southwest dessert at the south end of the rockies. $700-800 range. Don't forget to shop around. Discount Tire has prices online to compare w/ the other guys for a better price. p.s. - I ran BFG AT on my old 87' 2wd Toyota pu, and my old 96' Ranger 2wd as well. They run great in the rain and snow with a great highway ride from NM to CA year round.
