  1. I usually find cheap airline tickets on this website: http://www.cheaptickets.com/
  2. This is just how airfares work. The earlier you buy the cheaper you get the ticket. If continental sells ticket with a 14d prepaid rule, you can't get the same price today. The longer you wait to buy a ticket, the price will increase. There are no last minute sales on commercial airlines, except charter. Well, it's certainly not the answer you're looking for, But it's the sad truth.
  3. The same this happened to me i am planning a trip from Milwaukee-Frankfurt Via Detroit on Feb 12 -Mar 4. a four days ago it was $542 two days ago it was $648 today it is $517--needless to say i JUST bought them now. In your case i would wait and see if they go down--if they don't go down within the next two days you Sh** out of luck. Also SHOP around, use all the travel websites you know- if the price just dropped today it takes some travel websites a day or two to show the increased fare and you can still buy it for the "cheaper" price.
  4. I have tried every site, the cheapest is Expedia.com at $254. It is a bargain fare, and they do not tell you the route, other than you depart BOS and arrive at ATL with a POSSIBLE connection coming and going. It is a special offer though. 1 Review the flight details Tue 3-Feb-09 Expedia Bargain Fare Boston (BOS) to Atlanta (ATL) 0 - 1 connections Tue 10-Feb-09 Expedia Bargain Fare Atlanta (ATL) to Boston (BOS) 0 - 1 connections I would book it, considering its the cheapest and get you to where you want to go and back. To bad this is all they tell you. Good luck though :)
  5. I agree with the other responders that the longer you wait the more the price will go up. You should probably book ASAP, and check several travel sites. I did a quick search using wisetravelsearch.com (this is a site that lets you easily search all the main US travel sites), and found flights in the $254-$304 price range for the days you listed (Expedia, Travelocity, and HotWire). Good luck! Peter
  6. You need to book them soon since that date is just around the corner... I think you can get something right around that price. Check out BookMe dot com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites from one location, and save tons of money. Good luck!
