Ok, I'm flying over to the US in december and I'm using an e-ticket with continental airlines, I have no idea ?
how to use one and also I've read about that you should have the credit/debit card that you used to buy it with you, but I don't have it because someone else brought it for me so I'm wondering if it is necessary to have it? Would appreciate a step by step answer! Thanks! :-)

- In America at least. You walk up to a computer, type in your last name and flight number. Hit Confirm and it prints out your ticket. Then you wait in line to get your baggage checked. That was it for me, but I used my own credit card which I had with me. Things could be different in your airport or even airline. I would bring it, or at least a cellphone so you can call the card holder.
- 1. Get all info from whomever bought the ticket for you. Flight info, airline record locator (six character code), ticket number (thirteen digits), your name as they have it spelled on the ticket. 2. Make sure your the name on your passport matches name on ticket. Find out if you need a visa, and get on if necessary. 3. Bring items above with you to the airport and go to the Continental ticket counter to check-in with an agent. 4. Present your passport. When the agent types in your name, she should see your reservation and see that e-tickets have been issued. 5. The agent will give you a boarding pass and send you to the security checkpoint. 6. Show your passport and boarding pass to the agents at security. 7. Proceed to your gate, and board the plane. I have tried to check-in at a Continental kiosk in ATL and it asked me for the credit card used for purchase. My company had bought my ticket. This is stupid. I don't know why Continental does this! This was over a year ago for me.... Anyway, just arrive in enough time to check in at the ticket counter because there may be a long line. Or maybe you could check in online at home before you go instead. If you have a computer and printer, just go to continental.com to check-in 24 hours before your flight and print your own boarding pass. Just don't plan on getting your boarding pass from the kiosk at the airport!
- Hi, If you are using an e-ticket goin from the uk to the us , just bring the e-ticket with your passport to the check-in desk of continental airline and they will check u in, the whole point of an e-ticket is so if you lose it then they can or u can always re-print it, anyways once you hand it to them they should check your passport and check ur bags in and also give you your boarding pass ! I just went to the us as well in october , but you most definetly need it , so get the person to send it to you by email and print it off before you go !! you dont really need the card that you booked it with, but i think the only way you would need that is if you didnt have the e-ticket !!\ i hope i was of some help, if you are still in doubt call the airline and ask them all your questions about what to bring and wat not to bring.
