Can I just ask for some prayers or thoughts for the passengers aboard the Continental flight?
And especially their families. Also for the one person (I believe) who died on the ground. If you aren't religious, just a few thoughts then. Thank you! Kelly S - Yes, absolutely, hopes that no one died in pain. Oh, and Southwest Airlines has also never had a crash. Sorry, my dad works for them. I am an automatic spokeswoman. Megan - I'm sorry to hear about your father. I personally believe god helps get people through these kinds of things, but if you don't believe in god, that's fine too. Just maybe a few thoughts for the families of these people. What an awful call to get. Indiana Jones - Oh my! Wow, that is awful. I will also pray that your teacher is safe, in that case. Indiana Jones again - I'm so glad it wasn't your teacher, and still very sad for the victims. Thank you for including their names.

- I have already said some prayers..and I am still in shock.
- Yes I can't sleep and I have been crying. My prayers and hearts go out to everyone on the plane and on the ground. I hope no one died in pain. What I found most interesting was that there was no call for help to air traffic control, no mayday.. this has caused me to only want to fly safe airlines and the safest within the united states are qantas, virgin atlantic, and jet blue.
- not to be mean, but praying doesnt help. Last month my beloved Daddy was electrocuted and thrown off a ladder at work. He was rushed to the hospital and was there for 30 hours until he died. All my friends and family prayed prayed prayed, and it didnt help. He still died. A lot of friends have let us know that they pray for us...and it doesnt help, we are still all devastated. If anything, time just makes things worse. Its tragedies like this plane crash, or the very tragic death of my dad...that really makes me believe there is no god and that prayer is just a bunch of BS. If god was real he would NEVERRR do that to my beautiful Daddy or to the people on this plane
- i feel so bad. i live 20 minutes away from the crash. i'm hoping that my college teacher is not the one person in the home that died. from the description it sounds like it could have been. they live in that community. the news said it was an older couple (which him and his wife are older) there was a younger female (his nieces vist and stay with him often) thank god the two woman of the home were out shopping or we would have two more fatalities. and it is a brick house and my teacher lives in a brick house. i'm praying that the passengers and man in the home went quickly and painlessly. and i'm praying for those poor families that are currently at a secure area of the buffalo niagara airport **EDIT** they just released details of the people in the house and thank god it was not my college teacher's home. (i feel horrible for the people inside the home) apparently there was a family of three in the house. the mother was able to get out as the plaine was about to crash, the daugter (22 my age) was in bed and the roof actually caved in on her but she was able to crawl out of a small hole, but the father was unable to get out. i ask that we say a prayer for the 2 survivors karen and jill and that we also pray for their husband and father.
- I have been praying since I heard about this. I pray for comfort to all involved, and that many would know Jesus as Lord through this. In the Name of Jesus. †Prayer Warrior At Your Requestâ€
