Continental Airline Tickets

What's my best option for a late arrival into Midway Airport in Chicago for ground transportation?

I have a flight that lands at midnight, and the only airport shuttle (Continental Airport Express) stops all pickups at midnight (per their phone representative). I do know that there is excellent public rail (CTA) transport into downtown. However, I am *VERY* reluctant about arriving in the wee hours of the morning, catching hauling our luggage into a CTA train, then getting out to change trains once, then hauling the luggage to the street and walking several blocks dragging luggage around. If it was the middle of the day, I'd feel OK about it, but not at that hour of the night. Also, I'd rather avoid getting into an expensive cab ride unless there was absolutely no choice. What company can you people recommend that would still pick us up at, say, 12:30 am, and deliver us to the miracle mile? thanks!

  1. Everytime I fly into Midway I use Nightstar Limo Service. They are always waiting for me when I step outside with my name in the window of the limo. They already know where I'm going and take me there with no detours to increase the rate like cabs do. The rates are worth it. About $50 to my destination.
  2. Your best option is to probably catch a cab to Magnificent Mile, The trains are very convenient, but they can get kind of confusing at that late of an hour. If you do take the CTA, get on the Orange Line because it runs from Midway Airport to Downtown 7 days a week, but it ends at 1:00 Am. So you need to hurry because many stop running and you wouldn't want to be caught in the middle of a big city, that you are unaware about with luggage. Trust me, their are too many wierdo's lurking around downtown waiting for a tourist. Cab services are not that expensive anymore, the Orange line on the train would probably be best
  3. I can highly recommend Stretch Limousine in Chicago. You can read more about their Chicago limo service at http://www.stretchlimochicago.com . I use them every time I arrive at Chicago airports. Basicly, when you arrive at O'Hare or Midway airport, you need to collect your luggage and call their dispatchers. They will send a car and will give you a description of the limo and a licence plate of a vehicle. Limo will work much better than a cab for late arrivals especially during winter times. When it snows in Chicago, it might be hard to catch a cab at the airport and I'm sure you don't want to be part of this group of people stuck at the airport. Anyway, expect to pay around $55 for a limo or around $40 for a cab. Ps. You don't want be on a CTA train at midnight!!!
