Is US Airways a new airline? I remember United, American and TWA. Then I had kids and couldn't afford to fly.?

I don't remember any airline called US Airways. Thank I remember US air and Allegheny.

I have never heard of United American. There is an United. US Airways have been around for sometime. I1st flew on them in 1995 so no, it is not new.
It is probably a bankrupt airline now with the advertisement in the Hudson River today
US Airways (also known as US Air) is not a new airline...I can't remember when it first started but believe me it's not a new airline. I believe it replaced Eastern, or Pan Am. It has merged with America West. As for it going bankrupt after the crash in the Hudson River, it won't be due to one single crash...airlines don't operate like that. Sure the NTSB will have to run its investigation which is typical for any transportation accident (be it plane, bus, cars, train, balloon, etc).
i flew them once in february 2008. they have sucky service, uncomfortable seats, and are least responsible with luggage. they also were the first company to start charging for water.
No it's been around for decades. It used to be a very small airline and it's grown a lot in the past 20 years but it's been around for a long time.
The airline used to be USAir. In the past, they bought out airlines such as Allegheny, Piedmont and PSA. The airline has been around quite sometime. I flew with them back in the 1980s and once again in 1997.
Yes, they have been around for awhile...as far as service I think they are great, I've flown them many many times, just recently they started charging for beverages and bottled water...which is fine with me. after all you are paying for transportation not to be wined and dined. As for their seats, most of the fleet have leather seats and the pitch and width are all the same as all the other major airliners!
at one time they where know as Allegheny airlines then they bought Piedmont and PSA and change their name to us AIR then american west bough out US air but change their name to US airways
