Continental Airline Tickets

Do you still look forward to a decent meal on airline flight anymore?

What happened to the delicious meals they use to served in the good old day ?

  1. Some airlines are better than others but I have been flying fairly frequently for the past 25 years and they are far from delicious, even First class has gone way downhill. I usually buy something before I board, it's a lot better.
  2. lol i've never had a decent meal on an airplane. Airlines are trying to cut costs so they got rid of the food lol.
  3. That's why I bring my very own 7 course meal on every flight I take nowadays, you should see the faces of the surrounding people.
  4. Umm, I seriously question your taste buds. School cafeteria food actually ranks higher than airplane food. But no. I don't even EXPECT a meal anymore. Best to chow down before you even get to the airport, or pack a sandwich.
  5. I look forward to the (small) meal that Continental still serves. It is free, I am bored and hungry, so that makes it kind of delicious. I'm just not very picky.
  6. Meal service disappeared because passengers didn't really like the food that was served and would rather get rid of meal service if they can save money on the plane ticket. Continental still serves meals on flights of a certain distance such as 5 hours or longer. If you fly international such as across the Atlantic or Pacific, you will receive a meal. Also if you fly some foreign airlines, you will receive a meal. I flew in an EVA Airlines Boeing 747 from Taiwan to Hong Kong which is about a 90 minute flight and everyone received a hot meal. I also flew on Singapore Airlines from Hong Kong to Singapore which is around 3 1/2 hours and received a meal. Food was not bad on the Asian carriers.
