how to sue continental airlines?
Hey Continental cheated me when I booked ticket for my father in law- how it happened is I booked ticket for 3 people flying from MSP to EWR and for some reason one of the passenger had to travel early and we booked another airline ticket for him and I called Continental and updated saying that we have one passenger dropped Continental customer care said we will split the itinerary and keep ticket open today when the person walked in to ticketing they said ticket is inactive beacuse he didn't travel and the penalty to buy new ticket is 5 times higher the normal charge so I decided to sue them any help on how to?

- Ohhh that's terrible... I think you should contact your lawyer first...it will cost alot.. BTW im going with continental this week 2.....now im worried.....
- Call a lawyer.
- Here is what you can do: Option 1: Call your lawyer tell him that you want to sue Continental and after months of legal battle and paperwork receive a small cash reward that doesn't even come close to covering the legal cost. Option 2: Call up Continental and tell them your story, tell them that you are a frequent traveler (doesn't matter if this is true or not) and many of your friends are frequent travelers as well, tell them your are disgusted with the service, you will probably receive a big apology and some kind of cash reward.
- Do you have any evidence to show that this conversation ever took place? If not.. you're out of luck. The rules are that if you do not use your tickets first leg.. the ticket will be forfeited. Any conversation contrary to that.. unless it's documented and you have a confirmation code.. will not be valid in a court. Consult a lawyer.. but I doubt you have a case that you can win.
- who did you speak to ? do you have names? the person traveled earlier then schedule so of course YOU TOLD CONTINTEAL TO DROP HIM they did ASK YOU REQUESTED! and then who did you speak with a reservation agent? or supervisor did you get their names
- I hate to say it but you really have no case against them. This happens a lot and is not the intentional fault of the airline whatsoever. I recomend reporting those names to Continental, but there is no reason to file a lawsuit in the Court of Law for this, it happens a lot..
