Are there any tips to air travel with a 4 month old? It 's an overseas trip by air?

Traveling from Australia to Kenya (Africa) connecting through Dubai. Airport regulations, child safety, best airline etc

1. You could put him/her to sleep before you go on the plane, so it doesn't cry. I have heard stories where they would sedate the baby before the flight.
