traveling at 33 weeks pregnant?
Anyone have any ideas to make flying more comfortable? Its just a couple fairly short trips back and forth, but I hear its uncomfortable to travel. Also, is there anything I should know about flying that I might not think about? I already know the rules and regulations of the airlines I am already getting a doctors note.

- wear something that makes you look fat and dont tell them thats what i did when i was 9 months and flying was no diffrent to me....
- I would check with your doctor to make sure it is OK to travel. I know some airlines will need a DRs note if you are over a certain time in your pregnancy. I think it is 36 weeks but I would check. As far as comfort, I dont think anything could make an airplane comfortable for anyone, so I would love to know too :)
- SOME AIRLINES REQUIRE A NOTE FROM YOUR DOCTOR.... SO HAVE THAT JUST IN CASE. I WOULD JUST FORGET ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT BEING UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE WHEN YOUR PREGNANT, YOU'LL ALWAYS BE UNCOMFORTABLE. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WATER AND A SMALL PILLOW TO SUPPORT YOUR BACK. YOU'LL LIVE!
- I'm not sure of the name but you might be able to google it.. But there are these types of leggings/socks that helps with the circulation in your legs.. It assists with cramping which is good because on a plane your movement is limited...
- check with your doctor to see if they give you an ok to travel. get copies of your information just in case something happens or you have the baby while your away. there really isnt anything to make you more comfortable but i always try and get the aisle seat just in case i needed to make those frequent potty breaks. try to walk around as often as you can to prevent clots in your legs.
- You need to keep your legs moving... get up, stretch, etc. You need the blood flow to remain consistent so that your legs don't swell up and it reduces the risk of deep vein thrombosis as well.
- Just make sure you have your insurance card on you(incase of emergency), the Drs. note, diabetic socks(for circulation) and bottle water(you may have to show the Drs. note to get this to go through for security, but you never want to be without it as flyign can cause dizzy spells). If you can, I would arrange a prenantal massage wherever you are going. Planes make people sore anyway and flyign when pregnant can make you feel extremly bit*chy with aches & pains!
- make sure that you take you a lot of water to drink. it will make you feel less dehydrated while you are in the air.
- Try neck rest pillow or take a pillow. book or music if it helps. Take comfy shoes and wear clothes you feel comfy in.. its good you have the doctors note. Always have a water bottle with you. Walk around every now and then. So you dont get restless legs or anything else. God bless x All the best
