How is cold buffet different from continental breakfast?

One hotel booking site is offering a room with cold buffet breakfast and the other the same room with continental breakfast. First one is a bit cheaper than the second one. I wonder now in what way the cold buffet is different from continental breakfast and what I can expect to get in cold buffet.

1. I guess the cold buffet would include fruits and juice and I would think it is a more substantial breakfast where as the continental would only be coffee and croissant
2. continental is horrible thats my opinion its the same as cold

Go for cold buffet breakfast which is usually served in the Restaurant of the hotel and gets you a bigger choice to include juice, cereals, boiled eggs, sliced sausage, and cheese whereas a continental breakfast often is served in your room but only contains of coffee, rolls, butter, and jam. I don't know why they still call that continental breakfast since actually nobody has it for breakfast at home.
