Is more psi better for mileage?

Public Comments

  1. it should say on the tire itself or on the door jam. prob around 30-40psi somewhere around there. the best for fuel economy would be what the tire recommends high pressure can give a lil better fuel economy but not noticeable but you will notice not as much traction with a higher psi
  2. The proper air pressure is listed on your driver's door jamb, or in your manual. Do NOT inflate tires to the maximum pressure listed on the tire. If in doubt, call a Continental dealer and ask them. No, more PSI does NOT mean better gas mileage. IT means a harsher ride and MPG loss. Good luck!
  3. look on the drivers inside door for recommended tire pressure.
