Can a 14 year old travel by British Airways unaccompanied?
I'm 14, and I travel a lot by myself. Every time I'm coming from Logan Airport (Boston) to Heathrow (London) none of the airlines make me travel with their unaccompanied minors program, but every time I'm going from London to Boston they do. This has happened to me with KLM, Continental, and American Airlines. I was just wondering what the actual rule is for British Airways because I'm fully capable of traveling alone. Thanks!

- You can travel unaccompanied. Anyone over 11 is considered unaccompanied.
- yeah totally
- Yep
- Yes, you can fly unaccompanied from 11 and up according to BA.com If you don't believe me, here's my little story :) In January this year I flew British Airways from JFK (New York) (Close enough to Boston :P) and I flew unaccompanied. I also travel alone a lot, and I was (and still am) 14. So flying is not the problem, the problem is you need to get signed authorization from your parents and it must be officially stamped, you can do this at a bank usually. Otherwise, if you don't have it, you can't pass. This happened to me, and they had to call my parents (and it was 2 AM there). If they didn't pick up within an hour, you would be sent back. Have fun! EDIT: By authorization, I mean authorization to enter/exit The United Kingdom, and by "they" I mean custom and immigration officials.
- Yes you definatly can.
