  1. should turn them off if jacking it up so it dont over fil and bust
  2. If they only fill up when you jack the car up, then your pressure regulator may be bad, or the bag may have a small leak. it is best to replace both bags at the same time. very expensive fix. :( good luck!
  3. they actually might fill up with air because of the pressure you're giving it by jacking it up on one side
  4. you just don't believe me do you? its not the shocks. if air is going into the bags and the car is sill low you have a bad bag or the valve on top of the bag or something is causing it to not hold enough air to raise the car up.
  5. I agree with the others, it's just that my Lincolns have done the same thing. On one I replaced the air bags, on one I replaced the valve, both still were always low or extremely slow filling. I had the air pump REBUILT. Instead of replacing the pump, the Tech rebuilt with all new o-rings and gaskets. Both still work great.
  6. The air bladders used on the Fords & Lincolns are called a rolling lobe air bladder. In other words, the rubber folds around on the bottom and when the pressure builds, the car rises. What is happening to you, is that the air spring is leaking and not allowing pressure to build. When you raise the car up and put the fold of the rubber in a different position, the leak is somewhat sealed and allows the pressure to build....thus raising the car. The rear air springs(pair) costs $188 shipped to your door -OR- to do a coil spring conversion would cost $219 shipped to your door. http://www.americanairsuspension.com/cart/products.php?cat=8 Eddie Spinks American Air Suspension Ford/Lincoln Certified Air Suspension Expert 423-487-4321 www.americanairsuspension.com
