Continental Airline Tickets

Can I transfer frequent flyer miles into starwood points?

I'm a starwood preferred member. I have miles in the AA advantage and Continental's One Pass. Does anyone know if I can transfer my miles into points for hotel? I dont have enough miles in either to get a free flight, so I would rather use it in hotel stays or merchandise.

  1. Never transfer air mile to hotel miles. Air miles are worth more money the hotel points. 25,000 miles is equal to $500.
  2. air miles are worth more. bad move
  3. do you have starwood points? Transfer them to AA. Then fly somewhere.
  4. Trust me your SPG points are worth more than any airline miles on a 1:1 basis. That is why SPG will give you 25,000 miles for every 20,000 points you redeem. Plus, have you ever seen the full cost of a hotel like a W? But I am sure you know since you are asking yourself how you can get more points. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way either. The closest thing is Membership Rewards from AMEX, which allows to to transfer 1000 Reward points for only 230 SPG points. That is not a good deal. Any transfers between programs usually means a bad deal, so do what most other people would do.. sell you points or ticket to pay for that extra night of hotel =)
