Continental Airlines can bite....?
I searched for tickets from Newark to Tampa...I got 3 tickets for $852.00 which is pretty good, so I go to pay and they wanted my one pass number which I forgot so I hit the button to get my one pass number and it takes me out of the page I was on so I had to go back in (literally 45 seconds later) and the same exact flights are $1,337. I even have a screen print of the price and when I called up Cuntinental they said their prices change constantly so "to f-ing bad" What do they go by that makes the flights fluctuate constantly,,,I just went back in and they are down to $1,197.

- yeah ... they do that a lot ...some of them like to be evil
- Yup.. they did the same to me constantly! This is what you do if you can. Wait until midnight.. yea I know, sounds weird but if you log in at midnight or right after you'll get their lowest rate. They do fluctuate throughout the day and from minute to minute.. it's a bit ridiculous. I got this advice from The Today Show and it worked for me!! Good luck to ya!
- It is the same for any airline in any country. When my husband & I checked out ticket prices from London to Indianapolis, we found a great deal online. Drove 10 minutes to the travel agent, and the price had went up by a few pounds. I asked why, and the agent said that all prices taxed, and that tax is based on what the U.S dollar is at the moment. I don't know if she was correct, but I've seen it happen since then.
- That happens with other airlines, too! You can find a vacation package for $400.00. Then by the time you pull out your credit card to pay for it, the price rises to over $800.
- Yes, wonders of technology!!! Before booking, try different sites to make sure of the market price for that route. Next time check the following sites and compare with CO. Amazing but "some-times" you get a better deal through a site, even with the $10 service fee!
