Continental Airline Tickets

how do I get my flight miles from these people?

Hi there, About 2 years ago my husband and I took a trip during the holidays. He entered his one pass account number with continental, and he got his point credited to his account. I recently called today to check both of our balances, and my account is zero. Apparently they say, maybe I didn't input my own account number when booking the flight. This is a bit annoying since we both traveled during the same time and he has a bunch of point and I have zilch. The other bummer is that the girl on the phone says that they can not credit flights that have been over a year ago. I tried to explain the situation, but they didn't care. Do you guys have any tips on how to deal with this. Can I call back and mention something that can get them to change their minds? I mean I still have our boarding passes, and it shows we traveled at the same time and everything. Your help is appreciated. We would like to visit family during the holidays and this would really help.

  1. Did you input your own number? And have you credited another flight since then? I believe OnePass miles expire after eighteen months of no account activity =/
  2. Once it is more than one year ago, they will not help you. Sorry, but you should have checked on the summaries that they send out. You can ask someone else but there policies are pretty clear on this.
  3. The airlines give you 1 year from the time of your trip to book any missed mileage. It is up to you to check to see if you were credited. I doubt the airlines would be very sympathetic since you are given 1 year to ask them to credit your account. As for free travel, so many people now have mileage that it is hard to redeem your miles. Airlines only block off a certain number of seats for those who want to redeem mileage for travel. Plus airlines have blackout dates where you cannot use your mileage for free travel because that is when lots of people will be flying.
