Continental Airline Tickets

Long airplane journeys?

What do people usually do on really long trans-continental plane trips? I am talking about trips that take upwards of 24 hours. What is the best way to pass time in these types of trips and keep your mind off leaving home and to avoid the feeling of homesickness to dominate your thoughts during this time because of the fact you have so much time on your hands and also that you are in a enclosed space for such a long time breathing recycled air. One cannot even sleep properly during flights, so im asking you people - how do you guys manage during these flights and pass your time, im sure some of you know what im talking about

  1. Watching the TVs on the planes, playing my mp3, reading books, catching up on work, drawing and sketching, hope this helped Xx :D
  2. I have found that a fully charged battery for a portable CD player works and a deck of cards or a puzzle book of some kind.
  3. The best thing to do is sleep but that depends on the time you leave and what time your flight arrives. The next thing is to hope that an "Extra Sized" person does not take the seat next to you. The flight is tedious and be prepared to see the same movie a few times. Take a hand held video game, a book and maybe some crossword puzzles with you to help pass the time. You may ask your Dr. for a limited amount of sleeping pills for the trip. The trip to where your going seems faster than the ride home.
  4. i know exactly what you're talking about. i watched movies on the plane until there were no more to watch. usually, you get a personalized screen on which you can play movies courtesy of the airline. i'd rather have comfier chairs and more leg room, but who am i to complain? anyway, if you take an iPOD or something, that can really help you fall asleep and stay asleep. make sure it's charged for the whole journey, though. i would also recommend taking a good book or a magazine because you will eventually become bored enough to want to have a peak at them. other than that, i would recommend the following site because they seem to have a few suggestions: http://www.molly.com/2005/05/07/things-to-do-on-long-plane-rides/ hope that helped. where are you flying to?
  5. I generally bring my Ipod, watch the in-flight movies, listen to the radio they provide and finally make use of the free wine and then sleep as best you can!
  6. Uhhhhhh, Ms. Noelani,,,,, I think that Tylenol mixed with alcohol can KILL YOU !!!
