  1. Here's a good link with pay info. I should also say that there is no good way or accurate way to approximate an average salary, (or a median salary which would be representative) as it varys widely pilot to pilot, and especially between senior pilots who get large sway when they put in their schedule "bids". As you can tell it varies by how many years you have worked for the company, what aircraft you fly and whether you you fly the left or right seat (that would be Flight Officer or Captain, or if you prefer Pilot or Co-Pilot). Also keep in mind pilots fly roughly 70 hrs per month put that it can vary greatly. Also the pay as laid out in the contracts is FAR more complex than the hourly pay scales listed. The pay chart will however give you a rough idea. Also check out the other airlines on that website to compare base pay scales. Hope this helps. http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines/legacy/continental.html ^^LINK^^ Note the chart uses the terms WIDE, LN, and SN. Wide refers to Widebody aircraft (aircraft with more than one aisle such as Booeing 767 or 777) while LN likely refers to the 757s and SN to Continental's (rather large fleet of) Boeing 737s. EDIT: Thank you for correcting me on both counts and further I appreciate the info on which a/c ore included under "LN" pay scales.
  2. Irdc9 is mostly correct. The guy in the right seat is a First Officer not a Flight Officer. At Continental, the B737-800, 900, and 900ER are LNs in addition to the B757 series.
