Has anyone been on an airline lately? Does it seem like flight attendants are grumpy and rude?

The last few times I have flown on an airline, the flight attendants have been really rude. It seems like if I ask them for anything they get really irritated. And I always act polite towards them. I think with so many people losing jobs these days that these people should be a little more appreciative that they even have jobs. Most of the airlines are having financial problems so it seems like they would want to do everything possible to keep their customers.

  1. If I had to work on some of those old clunkers I would be grumpy and rude. Woundering daily if you are going to make it form A to B.
  2. i agree , all i get is remove your i pod move your bag do your seatbelt up put the handrail down bla bla bla like any of that would actually help if we crashed , most of them are on one big power trip when all they really are is waitresses

  5. Agree. American Airlines is the worse! Even their counter and check in people are bad. Southwest Airlines has gotten bad too, but American A. is the worse! I could tell you some stories!
  6. the stuff with enforcing safety rules is their job, as well as being waiters/waitresses.
  7. Not like the good old days when a Stewardess was a glamourous job and the girls were happy to have them. Now it's gone from serving drinks and making us comfortable...to being the midair police and there for "our safety" riiiight.
  8. Sorry you had a bad time with the flight attendants> My daughter was on for a long time(married to a pilot for 15 years) and they are always nice. Christian people. I guess things are changeing like Obama said they would.Wish I knew what airline you were flying.( flight attendants do not make very much money but that is no excuse for bad behaivor)
  9. i think people in general are more rude lately , i just stay home as much as i can
