Is it worth it to get a Eurail pass when studying in England?

I will be studying outside of London for the fall semester. I plan on traveling a lot (about 10 weekends) in continental Europe. The Eurail pass seems like a good option, but because London is not covered, there is an added expense of getting to Paris or another city before using the pass. Is it more economical than flying out of London?

1. YES, I study aboard in France for a year and got a Eurorail Pass and went to England, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, you name it.
