What is the average occupancy rate of an American Airline flight from JFK to Heathrow?
I would like individual occupancy rates for first, business and economy class on this flight.

- I don't think you're going to find that answer here, because airlines typically do not release that information to the general public. If anyone from AA is here to answer questions, in fact, it's doubtful that they are going to be willing to answer that question, as it may give their competitors more information than they are willing to release.
- The breakdown that you are asking for would be very difficult to obtain. However, for the month of October, '09, the load factor for American Airlines on their transatlantic routes was 83.8% http://www.pilotjobs.com/2009/11/american-airlines-load-factor-climbs-4-percent---american-eagle-loads-and-passengers-increase.html This compares with their overall figure for October, '09, of 83.1%. http://www.centreforaviation.com/news/share-market/2009/11/05/republic-sees-808-decline-in-net-income-us-airways-american-airlines-see-improved-load-factors/page1 The October figure represents a 3.7% increase in load factor on September's figure of 79.4%. http://www.breakingtravelnews.com/news/article/delta-and-american-see-falls-in-passenger-numbers All of these figures are, of course, made to look fairly healthy on account of the airlines decreased capacity.
- I think that would be pretty hard to find out as airlines only release an average occupancy rate on their flights in general. Also it depends on when you are flying. I would expect the occupancy rate to be higher during peak travel times such as in the summer or around Christmas. Also know that since lots of people now have miles, they may buy an upgradeable ticket so many times Business Class is pretty full. Also American Airlines has a lot of flights from JFK to Heathrow. I think they can have up to 5 flights a day. My opinion is that the afternoon or late morning flights may have a lower occupancy versus the ones offered in the evenings.
