Continental Airline Tickets

I bought tickets on Continental Airlines in 2009 for early Jan. 2010. Is it possible to count miles for 2009?

If not, can I get elite qualifying 3K miles some other way?

1. No, those miles will be part of your 2010 count. You must fly those 3,000 miles before January 1, 2010 to get those EQM. So, pick the cheapest flight that will get you those miles!
2. Many of the airlines don't use the calendar year. NWA used to count miles from March 1 to Feb 28 for elite status. I'm not familiar with Continental but you may want to ask.
